On 22 August 2007, the LSE SU Hungarian Society, in cooperation with the LSE Hungarian Alumni Group organised a pre-departure meeting for incoming, current and past Hungarian LSE students in Budapest. The meeting was held at Gerbeaud, an exclusive and famous Hungarian cafe and restaurant, and included a drinks reception and dinner.
New students and alumni learnt about life at and after the School from Eddy Fonyódi, LSE student governor and LSE SU Hungarian Society president and Éva Számely, Hungarian LSE Alumni Association president, who were very grateful to the LSE Student Recruitment Office and the LSE Alumni Relations Team for their support in organizing the event.
Since then “pre-departure” events have become regular events of ours, which we hold at the end of summer every year in order to help LSE offer holders to prepare their life at the LSE and to be able to reconnect after their time at the LSE.
