Our First Joint Event with Common Sense Society and Hungarian Europe Society

The Hungarian LSE Alumni Association, the Common Sense Society and the Hungarian Europe Society held their first ever joint event on 23 February 2011 in the reputable and venerable Cigar Lounge of the Ybl Palace in Budapest.

Our guest speaker was Professor Iain Begg from the LSE, who talked about the effects of the financial crisis on the European Union, with the provoking title of “Is it only a matter of time before the euro going to collapse? The event was a real success with lots of participants from all three organisations. To finish the truly thought provoking discussion evening members of our alumni group invited Professor Begg for a dinner in Centrál Kávéház nearby.
